A start has been made on percuring exhibitors and Traders for our 2010 exhibition. We are particularly interested in specialist quality traders. Details will be added to the Exhibition page as available.
Work continues on New Daleside 00 and Castle Warren (009)

Work continues on Dewsbury Midland (N) new fiddling yard
Tomas was out on loan to the Halifax Club at the Queensbury scouts exhib 6th June and was well received and is available for loan to anyone else.
18th May - Dewsbury Midland (the first version in N gauge
as opposed to Manchester's 00 version) is up in the larger clubroom for
completion of the new fiddling yard and a general tart up.
Tomas is also
being spruced up as the Halifax club are borrowing him for the Queensbury Scouts
railex on 6th June.
16th May - Our website is perhaps getting a bit too popular as it cost us £7.00 in excess bandwidth charges. Advertisers to spread the cost very welcome.
9th-10th May 09 - Victoria Road was at Stockport show and won
the Shield for the best modelled item with the Mill and that Chimney
(constructed by member Trevor Shaw).
(Picture - Chairman Ian Atkinson is presented with the shield.)

2nd-3rd May 09 - Victoria Road along with Dolly Hill appeared at the Pickering Model Railway show on and seemed to attract a lot of attention.
The main clubroom has received a much needed redecoration with lots of 'stuff' have been moved into our 2nd room. Not much modelling at the moment due to congestion.
The annual Exhibition was held on 18th/ 19th April and first indications are that it was favourably attended and received good feedback.

Arthur Towers Shield (Chairmans choice) - Our
chairman Ian Atkinson chose Ridings (Bruce Lake) with its excellent
buildings, innovative DCC trolleybus and Faller car system.
Pennock Trophy - The layout
voted best by the public was inevitably the awesome Rowlands Castle (Peter
Goss) . The webmaster is of the opinion this is probably one of the best layouts
on the circuit at the moment.
Work continues franticly to get Oxenhope and Victoria road ready for the exhibitions as well as other arrangements with trader short notice cancellations
Dolly hill attended a successful SETTLE (Scout Rail) on the 28th March
Bookings moved to diary page
The AGM was held on 2nd March and resulted in some change of officers:-
Donald Swires who with 31 years with the club was one of the
clubs original members has decided to step down as Chairman. He was then
unanimously elected as President a position last filled by the late Arthur Towers.
Ian
Atkinson was elected as our new Chairman.
Keith Fell has decided to step down
for a well earned rest after a successful stint as exhibition manager and will
replaced with an Exhibition committee comprising the Secretary (main point of
contact), Treasurer and Chairman.
Other officers unchanged.
Work continues on readying Victoria Road and Oxenhope for the show.
A provisional list of layouts and traders is being added to the Exhibition page
Ian Atkinson's O gauge layout Dalry Road appeared at the Huddersfield (Pennine) exhibition on Jan 17th 18th
Work on getting Oxenhope ready for the show along with work on Dewsbury Midland fiddle yard continues
