The webmaster has been busying himself with completing a 3 car
push pull set using O gauge Ian Kirk LMS Coaches as well as
tinkering with repairing and modifying some DCC sound equipped OO
locos:-
DCC update
Bachman Royal Scot LMS black (mine to sell) with burnt out Decoder.
Added Loksound 3.5 SWD 2/4 cylinder and bass reflex speaker in
tender. Sounds good but I am looking into how to make it have the
correct 3 cylinder beat.
Bachmann Fairburn (Mine) - added a Howes Loksound 4.o with a 22mm
speaker squeezed in the bunker. Sounds great and hope to add a
working headlamp and possibly a firebox LED.
Class 47 Heljan with slipping drive shafts (my sons). Obtained
replacement bogies and shafts from Howes (excellent value) and added
a Zimo MX655 with bass reflex speaker in the fuel tank from
Digitrain at the same time. Sounds great
Class 37 Bachmann faulty SWD sound chip(my sons). I have replaced
the faulty South west digital Loksound 3.5 with a Zimo MX645
with Bass reflex speaker in the fuel tanks from Digitrains. With the
addition of LED's from Express models it sounds and looks very well.
I have altetred the various CV' s so the tail lights work on
fubnction 8 so they can be off when hauling stock. Really getting
into this DCC thing. Trying to fathom out how to make the fan
rotate.
Just need a DCC layout to run them on.
