incurred while at Salts Mill
Work continues on Daleside and Dewsbury fiddle
yard.
Victoria Road (Our version of Saltaire) has appeared at Salts mill http://www.saltsmill.org.uk/ during the Saltaire festival between 10th Sept and 20th Sept 2009 . It seemed well received and was visited by what seemed like a huge number of people. Interestingly the Adults seemed almost to not notice the trains but were impressed by the buildings and wildlife whereas the children inevitably focused on the 12 or so trains we had runnng.
Fry Up appeared at the Skipton Exhibition on 29th,

The main clubroom has received a much needed redecoration with lots of 'stuff' have been moved into our 2nd room. Not much modelling at the moment due to congestion.
The annual Exhibition was held on 18th/ 19th April and first
indications are that it was favourably attended and received good feedback.
The Arthur Towers Shield (Chairmans choice) was Ridings chosen by our
chairman Ian Atkinson for its excellent
buildings, innovative DCC trolleybus and Faller car system.
The Pennock Trophy
for the layout
voted best by the public was inevitably the awesome Rowlands Castle (Peter
Goss) . The webmaster is of the opinion this is probably one of the best layouts
on the circuit at the moment.

The Club trip on the KWVR 40th anniversary special from Keighley

hills!!) bent its reversing rod at Skipton and had to be rescued by a WCR 37.
KWVR turned in there usual style turned crisis into success by giving us 2 round

Tragic news is the sudden death of
our President, Mr Bradford Model Railway club Arthur Towers suddenly at home on
16th Feb
Arthur a stalwart of the club for as long as I can remember will be sadly missed
both in and outside the club.
He with his son Chris modelled in various scales from "n" to "0" and a few obscure ones in-between. Arthur was the clubs ambassador whether out with the clubs or their own layouts (Dolly Hill, Fryup) and was always seen at exhibition taking to friends and colleges "eh up its the lads from Bradford" was often the cry. Always there ,always helping, always laughing, he will be sadly missed both within and outside the club.
Our heart felt wishes go out to Chris and his family Lets remember him as we knew him behind their layout
The funeral accompanied by Arthur's beloved brass band music had a good turnout of fellow modellers and was held on Friday 22nd Feb 2007 at Nab Wood Cemetery: Shipley; West Yorkshire
