A freelance compact N gauge layout. 2mm to foot.(1:144) scale with excellent scenery.
It comprises a branch line terminus with run round loop, engine shed, goods facilities and sidings. Trains emanate from a hidden 3 road fiddle yard is located under the churchyard of the scenic section.
It features working semaphore signals. automatic uncouplers by means of track mounted magnets and a hidden fiddle yard located under the village church and graveyard. Stock is usually a mix of 50-60 era steam and diesel

Construction - Baseboards are Sundela board on a timber frame. The layout boxes into 4ft by 1ft by 1ft box to enable it to be stored  in a corner.

Scenery is made from polystyrene, filler. Buildings are a mixture of proprietary and scratch built .

Track is Peco with Peco or Seep point motors. Uncoupling is by means of Seep magnets located under the track with metal tags glued to standard N gauge couplings.

Signal operate and are a mixture of Semaphores worked by point motors or 2 aspect colour light.

Stock is mainly propriety from Farish, Minitrix Peco and Bachann

Size - Total length= 8ft (2.4m); Viewing length= 8ft ,  Depth=1ft (0.3m)+operator space (3ft).    End to end, Station to hidden fiddle yard on right  front view only.

Needs provision fuel for one car as well as lunch and vast quantities of tea for 2 operators. Accommodation with breakfast required if over 60miles. Requires 2 sockets consumption 200W (mainly lighting). Insurance value £1000 excluding stock
