Bradford Model Railway club

Welcome to Bradford Model Railway clubs website. Our aim is to foster and encourage railway modelling in Bradford and surrounding area. Membership is open to anyone 11 and over with an interest in the hobby whatever level of skill
All materials and tools are provided FREE (unlike some clubs) for constructing the club layouts, The club is also building up a collection of rolling stock for use on club nights and when exhibiting at a show.
We meet every Monday (ex Bank hols) and most Thursday evenings 7.45pm onwards. 
Visitors very welcome but ring the secretary on 0774 5268960  first to check were open.
Membership is the equivalent of just £2 a week (£0.40p associates and juniors).
Why not pay us a visit at our clubrooms for a chat and cuppa.

Glen Bogle O has acquired a new station building and signal box from Bob Dawson modelling

The 2012 exhibition was held on 31st March/ 1st April 2012.
The Trophy for the layout selected by the public as best in show was Grange over Sands from Blackburn Model Railway club.

Oxenhope O and Dolly Hill N appeared at the Keighley Exhibition 24th 25th March 2012. Thanks too Keighley club for an enjoyable weekend.

An enjoyable day was had as always at Settle Scoutrail with Glen Bogle on 10th March 2012. Thanks to Dave Burrows of Skipton club.

Both Victoria Road and Glenbogle are erected in the clubroom to prepare for there next outings.

Oxenhope appeared at the Rainhill exhibition on 3/4 March. Thanks to Rainhill club for helping us out with operators as we were a bit short due to various circumstances.

February 2012

The AGM was held on Mon 20th Feb 2012 with an excellent buffet provided by treasurer Chris Towers.
All club officers were re-elected with the addition of John Wimbles as general assistant officer.
It was that the club would purchase a club dcc system for the club to embark on the DCC scene

Grassington has been replaced in the clubroom with Victoria road to enable it to be readyed for our exhibition.

Very cold month so far restricting club activities. Castors have been added to Oxenhope to aid movement.

January 2012

Oxenhope seemed popular as ever at the Pontefract Exhibition 28/29th January 2102

DCC Update 1 A new DCC page has been started in the useful info section of this site. Click here

DCC Update 2. There is some talk of the club purchasing a DCC system and making one of the club layouts DCC switchable or/ and  embarking on a DCC layout.  This will be decided at the AGM.
It will probably have 3 cabs and some possibly wireless. The make is not decided but most likely will NCE Power-Pro as the Webmaster and Treasurer both have an NCE Powercab. Alternatives are Digitracks, Lenz or the new all colour screen Zimo which looks very impressive.  Traders are invited to promote there wares
